Drysuit Adhesive Glue - Supplier

As a professional drysuit manufacturing factory, we need to use many types of adhesive glues, treatment agents, accelerators and hardeners in the manufacturing process of drysuits, including 15L, 4L, 1L, and 0.5L specifications. Fabrics or accessories of different materials need to use different types of adhesive glue and treatment agents. We have mature adhesive glue treatment and application schemes. Misuse will cause the seam firmness and durability of drysuits to decrease. In addition, we also provide AQUASEAL® brand drysuit repair adhesive glue.

Explain: We use adhesive glues from multiple origins, multiple brands and multiple models, usually using solvent glue with CR or PU as the main component.

Explain: Valve ports, zippers, and seals need to be treated with a treatment agent and then use glue for bonding, usually CR or PU material treatment agent.

Note: Different materials need to use different treatment agents. Using the wrong treatment agent will reduce the firmness and service life of the bond.

AQUASEAL® Drysuit Repair Adhesive - FD™

Explain: AQUASEAL®+FD™ is a clear, water-resistant polyurethane adhesive that cures to an elastic rubber that can withstand constant pulling and movement with excellent abrasion resistance, primarily used for repairing membrane drysuit (Butyl Tri-Laminate Fabric & Breathable Tri-Laminate Fabric), which are suitable for repairing fabric stitches and sewing thread leaks after factory water testing, and Drysuits repair center and personal repair use.

Note: Available in 0.25 oz (7g), 0.75 oz (21g), and 8 oz (226g), sold individually or with repair kits.

AQUASEAL® Drysuit Repair Adhesive - NEO™

Explain: AQUASEAL®+NEO™ is a black cr adhesive that dries within 20 minutes and cures to an elastic rubber that stretches and flexes with the fabric, primarily used for repairing neoprene materials drysuit and wetsuit. It is suitable for repairing damage and cracks in neoprene fabrics. It can also be used to strengthen sewing threads, increase strength, prevent sewing threads from loosening, and improve water tightness.

Note: Available in 1.5 oz (44ml) and 4 oz (120ml), sold individually or with repair kits.

Explain: AQUASEAL®+SR™ (formerly Freesole) is a clear, water-repellent polyurethane adhesive that cures to an elastic rubber that flexes with all types of shoes, has excellent abrasion resistance, and is primarily used for repairing shoes.

AQUASEAL® Cure Accelerator

Explain: AQUASEAL® cure accelerator has cleans and prepares surfaces and accelerates the cure rate of polyurethane adhesives. It can be used with AQUASEAL® FD™ series, SR™ series and Seam Grip WP™ series repair glues.

Note: 1 qt (946ml). Also available as 0.34 oz (10ml) Cure Accelerator + 0.75 oz FD™ repair adhesive kit.

Note: Breathable tri-laminate drysuit are not suitable for diving, but because of its light and low-cost characteristics, many brands have launched ultra-lightweight travel drysuit (equipped with inflation valve and exhaust valve) made based on breathable tri-laminate fabric, but it can generally only be used for diving at a depth of no more than 10 meters. In fact, there are also lightweight options for butyl tri-laminate fabric, but the price is more expensive than breathable tri-laminate fabric.

Drysuits Leaking and Maintenance Problems:

All our drysuits are tested for pressure leaks in a test pool before leaving the factory to ensure that the drysuits do not leak when shipped, but the harsh transportation environment (Abnormal collision and squeezing) and incorrect storage (abnormal squeezes) occasionally cause water leaks (rarely found).

Unless drysuits are rarely used, water leakage is practically impossible to avoid. Due to the use environment, strength, habits, matching, cleaning and storage methods and occasions, component life and aging and other factors, many drysuits are used after dozens to hundreds of times, it will happen water leaks.

Leaking does not mean that drysuits can no longer be used, most of the water leakage conditions can be repaired. We provide warranty services (quality problems) and repair services (use problems). Unless the aging material has no repair value, everything else can be repaired.

Under normal circumstances, common simple problems are recommended to customers to repair by themselves (such as small leaks, etc.) to save time and transportation costs. We have optional repair kits when we leave the factory, and various repair kits are also available on the market. If there is a big problem, it is recommended that the customer return to the factory for repair (for example: replacing the waterproof zipper, repairing a large break, etc.).
