Drysuit Repair Kit - Supplier

According to the different materials of drysuits, we provide a variety of matching repair kits, which can be equipped or sold separately when the drysuits leaves the factory according to customer needs. Including round and square repair patches of different sizes (hot melt tape or glue rubber tape), AQUASEAL repair adhesive, applicator brush, masking stickers (adapted to the repair patch shape), zipper lubricant and so on.

In addition to personal repair kits, we can also provide large repair kits for dry clothes repair centers or team users (rescue teams, fire brigades, etc.), such as large pieces of fabric, seals, entire rolls of tape, high capacity repair adhesive, Treatment agents, auxiliary tools (applicator brush of different sizes, digital thermostat irons, etc.).

Explain: The hot melt tape patch can be manually hot pressed with an electric iron. The working temperature of direct hot pressing of different brands of tape is slightly different (80-120℃, do not compare with the working temperature of the heat sealing machine, the working principle is different), household electric irons can try a few more times. It is appropriate that there is a little overflow of glue on the edge of the tape. Drysuits repair center or team users recommend buying a special digital thermostat electric iron.

Explain: Use the AQUASEAL FD repair adhesive matched with the repair kit to glue the rubber tape patch to the leaking part of the drysuits. It is recommended to use the auxiliary texture stickers provided for positioning to prevent the glue from overflowing.

AQUASEAL Drysuit Repair Adhesive

Explain: The repair kit is equipped with 0.25 oz (7g) AQUASEAL drysuit repair adhesive. There are two types of FD and UV, FD bonding effect is good and UV bonding speed is fast.

Note: For small loopholes like the eye of a needle, you can use repair adhesive directly to make up for the leak. After the repair adhesive is dry, you can use it directly. Only big loopholes need to use adhesive + patch to repair.

Drysuit Repair Auxiliary Tool

Explain: Our drysuit repair kits provide adhesive applicator brushes and masking stickers. The masking sticker can prevent the glue from overflowing and keep the patch beautiful.

Note: The auxiliary tools will be flexibly matched and combined depending on the different materials, quantity and size of the repair patch.

Note: Breathable tri-laminate drysuit are not suitable for diving, but because of its light and low-cost characteristics, many brands have launched ultra-lightweight travel drysuit (equipped with inflation valve and exhaust valve) made based on breathable tri-laminate fabric, but it can generally only be used for diving at a depth of no more than 10 meters. In fact, there are also lightweight options for butyl tri-laminate fabric, but the price is more expensive than breathable tri-laminate fabric.

Drysuits Leaking and Maintenance Problems:

All our drysuits are tested for pressure leaks in a test pool before leaving the factory to ensure that the drysuits do not leak when shipped, but the harsh transportation environment (Abnormal collision and squeezing) and incorrect storage (abnormal squeezes) occasionally cause water leaks (rarely found).

Unless drysuits are rarely used, water leakage is practically impossible to avoid. Due to the use environment, strength, habits, matching, cleaning and storage methods and occasions, component life and aging and other factors, many drysuits are used after dozens to hundreds of times, it will happen water leaks.

Leaking does not mean that drysuits can no longer be used, most of the water leakage conditions can be repaired. We provide warranty services (quality problems) and repair services (use problems). Unless the aging material has no repair value, everything else can be repaired.

Under normal circumstances, common simple problems are recommended to customers to repair by themselves (such as small leaks, etc.) to save time and transportation costs. We have optional repair kits when we leave the factory, and various repair kits are also available on the market. If there is a big problem, it is recommended that the customer return to the factory for repair (for example: replacing the waterproof zipper, repairing a large break, etc.).
